The co-performer, Karina Kanellakis, is a female conductor and violinist born in New York in 1982. While studying violin at the Karajan Academy after attending the Curtis Institute of Music, her talent for conducting was discovered by Simon Rattle. She later studied conducting at the Juilliard School.From 2019, he will be Principal Conductor of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra; from 2020 he will be Principal Guest Conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
