This album features works by composer Chang Yingzhong, a professor in the Composition Department at Sichuan Conservatory of Music. In addition to winning numerous awards in China, he has also achieved international recognition, including a prize at the 3rd Sibelius Composition Competition. His unique perspective, rooted in the cultures of Tibet and Nepal, creates a truly one-of-a-kind musical experience. In particular, in the choral works “Auspicious Sunshine” and “Himalaya,” which use texts derived from Tibetan speech sounds, the scattered phonemes exude a unique charm as the distinctive resonance of the language. The guest performers are Fontana di Musica, a professional vocal ensemble led by choral conductor Yoichi Adachi, who is actively engaged in contemporary music. With both instrumental and vocal parts performed by Japan’s finest interpreters, these compositions mysteriously resonate with cultural diversity and tradition.\n\n[Shōei Chū (Composer)]\nComposer Shōei Chū, a professor at Sichuan Conservatory of Music and a member of the China Musicians Association, studied composition in the 1980s at Sichuan Conservatory of Music under Professors Yao Yirang and Gao Weijie. Furthermore, his works have been performed in countries such as South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Austria, and Canada.\nHis compositions are highly distinctive and characterized by a style rooted in regional music. They reflect the culture of his upbringing in Tibet and the rich folk music of the Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. In addition to his work as a composer, he is active as an educator; many of his students have won music awards both in Japan and abroad, and in recent years, he has produced outstanding musicians who are active not only on the domestic but also on the international music scene.\nALMRECORDS\/Kojima Recording\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"ALM Records","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53474709405985,"sku":"4530835111047","price":36.0,"currency_code":"AUD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4530835111047.jpg?v=1788912772","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-au\/products\/4530835111047","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
