At that time, many people and bands in the US were moving away from the punk sound that was so popular in the 1990s scene. We wanted to get back to this sound, style, and attitude. We wanted to get back to the sound, style, and attitude of the great British bands like The Partisans, Abrasive Wheels, Cockney Rejects, Instant Agony, Special Duty, The Enemy, The Blitz, Court Marshall, The Valcarz, External Menace, and Exploited, as well as the great UK Oi! UK82 bands, and very much influenced by the street punk bands of the 1990s such as Funeral Dress and The Casualties. I was also heavily influenced by 1990s Japanese punk bands like Discocks, Shit-Faced, Bollocks, The Dick Spikie, and Tom and Boot Boys. These bands inspired us not only by their sound, but also by their attitude, especially their lyrics. We wanted to write dumb lyrics that were not too serious on the surface, maybe even funny, but that expressed our sincere feelings about life and punk in particular. We have never been afraid to sing about the punk lifestyle, and in fact I think it is very important. We sing about everyday life issues: being a punk, drinking, friends, partying, rejecting the system and propaganda. We don't write lyrics about complex political issues. That's because we believe that great bands like Conflict have already done it perfectly. But our music has political themes. We are anti-government, anti-fascist, and punk.\n\n\n\nWe live near Boston, Massachusetts. We are fortunate to have a strong punk scene here in Boston, with many great bands of very different musical styles. Mark and PJ play with street punk bands Revolt and Moose Knuckle. Some of our shows in Boston feature punk bands like Phagocyte and Savageheads along with metal-influenced bands like our friends Lifeless Dark. Our city has a lot of fun things to do, like places to play, bars, and DJ nights. We have also been lucky enough to play in other cities in the US and in other countries including Canada.We are so grateful for the hospitality and warm welcome we received from the Japanese punks on our 2017 Japan tour. It was an honor to share the stage with bands that influenced us so much when we first started playing in bands, and to release a 7\" on Pogo 77, my favorite record label in the world at age 19! We are very much looking forward to playing in Japan again this year and are very grateful to be playing at the legendary Kappunk festival!\n\n\n\nChris \/ WHO KILLED SPIKEY JACKET?\n\n\n\nFrom the information above\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Joe Pogo","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50665150415137,"sku":"2299991485825","price":36.0,"currency_code":"AUD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/2299991485825.jpg?v=1733545033","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-au\/products\/2299991485825","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
