Khachaturian left many masterpieces that clearly inherited folk music, such as the \"Sword Dance\" from the ballet Gaïne, but he also left piano works that are impressive for their emotional richness and strong rhythms, blending folk music from Armenia, Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and other countries with Western music.
