This live album was recorded at the Deer Head Inn, a jazz club in Pennsylvania, in the midst of the 2020 pandemic, when it was difficult for musicians in New York to perform locally. The recording was made with a limited number of people and with safety in mind. The album begins with an introduction of the members by Denny Carrig, one of the managers of the club, and includes 8 songs.The popular pianist Orin Evans, who has released albums such as \"Captain Black Big Band\" on the SmokeSession label, is joined on bass and drums by Peter Washington and Joe Farnsworth, two of the most consistent and sought-after rhythm sectionals in the business today.
