The trio, consisting of Eblis Alvarez on electric guitar\/computer, Mario Galeano on bass, and Pedro Ojeda on drums\/percussion, were friends who attended the same high school and have been friends for over 30 years since. The new album, their first in about four and a half years, was recorded in a relaxed atmosphere at a private studio owned by Galeano and mixed and produced by guitarist Eblis Alvarez. No overdubs or editing was done to give the album a more realistic feel than previous works. This added an element of unpredictability, with loops shifting and changing in a way reminiscent of Steve Reich's minimalism. The musicality of the album is also quite varied, with the awkward second track reminiscent of Captain Beefheart, the tropical dub of the third track, and the high-life style of the fifth track, which makes effective use of reverse-rotating guitar effects.
