The composer, who was born in the Netherlands and was probably a contemporary of Clemens Non Papa and Villalort, made his name throughout Europe and left his mark as far away as Poland. His works were occasionally included in the compilations of important composers of the early days of typography, such as Falaise and Susart, which shows the wide popularity of this composer at that time.
