At the age of 19, he moved to Paris, where he developed a passion for the blues. He moved to Sweden and released \"Ain't It Grand\" in 1972 and \"Rainbow People\" in 1977, returning to New York in 1980, and then to Sweden five years later.In 1997, he co-released \"Shakin' a Tailfeather\" with the esteemed Taj Mahal and others, which was nominated for a Grammy Award and made his name known worldwide. In recent years, he has consistently released \"Jericho Road\" with Lucy Foster in 2013, \"Blues People\" in 2014, \"Red Belize Gold\" with J.J. Mirtu in 2015, and \"Happiest Man in the World\" under the name North Country Fur in 2016.
