The 14th collection of the very rare Swedish sound source collector's classics! Wilhelm Peterson-Berger Wilhelm Peterson-Berger, a Swedish composer and critic, is well known for his piano music, including the three-volume "Flosse's Flowers," his "Spring Songs III," for mixed chorus, "Spring Comes on Valpurgis Night," and the male chorus collection "Mountain Excursions In 2017, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth, previously unknown or forgotten recordings were found in a "secret box" and compiled into the album "Music Found in P=B's Secret Box"! The album is available on CD and DVD. The album includes the complete first and second acts of the opera "Arnjot" recorded live at the Royal Theater in Stockholm, recordings of his own compositions and improvisations on the piano, a fragment of the "Royal Theater 150th Anniversary Cantata" that gives us a glimpse of P=B as a "choral conductor," a recording of one of his favorite singers Mathilda Jungstedt (1864-1923).All of the recordings on various media, including cylinder (wax) and wire (steel tape) recordings (Arnjot, Acts I and II), as well as the cracked lacquer discs discovered at Pettechon-Berriel's summer home, Sonmarshagen, have been reissued and restored by Carl-Gunnar Ahlen Carl-Gunnar Ahlen has reissued and restored them using digital technology.
