Feeling exploited and treated like commodities by the music industry, Bataan sought independence and creative control and founded Ghetto Records, a label that continues to be popular with record collectors and DJs for its obscure yet high quality catalog. The catalog is still very popular among record collectors and DJs. Now-Again has announced that it will reissue the catalog as a box set in 2022. One of the pieces included in the box set, "Drug Story," was a surprise to many fans. The contents include a very rare 7" recording by label owner Joe Bataan, including the very popular "Latin Soul Square Dance," as well as a previously unreleased track! The release comes with 16 pages of liner notes by Pablo Iglesias.
