The cast includes Toshihiko Seki as Kitaro's father and Hidenobu Kiuchi as Mizuki. The Tatsuga family and relatives who live in Wepakura Village, where Kitaro and Mizuki go for different reasons, are played by Atsumi Tanezaki, Yumiko Kobayashi, Tetsu Shiratori, Nobuo Tobita, Yoko Sawami, Kazuya Nakai, Kazuhiro Yamaji, Hiroko Minaguchi, Rie Kugimiya, Akira Ishida, and Masaya Matsukaze as a weekly journalist, all of whom are talented and leading figures in the Japanese animation world.Also appearing are sixth season members Miyuki Sawashiro as Kitaro, Masako Nozawa as Oyaji Medama, Umeika Shoji as Neko Musume, and Toshio Furukawa as a mysterious boy (a mouse) who resembles a well-known character.
