The British Doric String Quartet, which began its activities in 1998, is now back with its second collection of Beethoven Cycles, launched in full force on the occasion of its 25th anniversary. As in the first collection, the quartet combines works from the early, middle, and late Beethoven cycles; Doric SQ won the first prize at the 2008 Osaka International Chamber Music Competition and has been touring Japan more and more in recent years. Here we hear an even more refined performance.
