In 1952, he won the first prize at the International Organ Competition in Haarlem, the Netherlands, and toured Europe and the U.S. as an organist and conductor, In 1973, he came to Japan to lecture and perform at the International Christian University and is well known in Japan. This seven-CD set was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Hiler's birth in 2023, and is a unique opportunity to hear his works in a systematic way. As an organist, Hiler specialized in Bach's works, but he himself wrote polyphonic works with contemporary harmonies, ranging from solid baroque forms to free style \"Dances - Toccata\" and others.
