In recent years, however, Ignacy Paderewski and his pupil, Zygmunt (also called Zigismondo) Stojowski, have emerged as composers who fill the gap. Paderewski is a pianist best known for having served as the second prime minister of the Second Republic of Poland. His \"Paderewski Minuet\" is outstandingly famous, but some of his works are regarded as a \"bridge from the late Romanticism to the modern era,\" and this violin sonata is a brilliant work reminiscent of Bruckner and Grieg. The violin sonata by Stojowski, who studied under Paderewski and says he was strongly influenced by him, has a Brahmsian style, but also has the atmosphere of Paris, where he studied as a young man. Pravnels is a violinist with a wide repertoire of mainly Polish works. He has previously recorded an album of Polish secrets with the pianist Sawajczyk.
