A collection of works for solo violin performed by Russian violinist Denisova. The works by Paganini, Kreisler, and Ysaye are arranged around the "Three Sonatas for Solo Violin" by Handushkin, an 18th century Russian composer and violinist known as the "Russian Paganini," and are performed with a high degree of concentration and intensity. The works by Handushkin, who is said to have been inspired by Italian works, are technical in nature, making thorough use of the technique of overtone playing, etc. The works by Paganini, Kreisler, and Ysaye are performed with a high level of concentration. The lyrical melodies, which combine both Western and Russian styles, are very attractive.
