The band's pop psychedelic world, reminiscent of the Sargent Peppers and Pet Sounds, blossomed from the late 60's to the mid 70's, but disappeared without being heard. The band's sound is so exquisite that it could be likened to a Latin American version of Brian Wilson or a prototype of Ariel Pink who came too early. Jody is the studio project of two Paraguayan German immigrants, Jorn Wenger (guitar/organ/vocals) and Dirk Wenger (drums/percussion), brothers musicians. In the late 60's, they went to Germany to study under the tutelage of Kang, Cluster, Tangerine Dream, and others, and were even mentored directly by Stockhausen. He then returned to Paraguay and released one self-released album ("Pops De Vanguardia" (reissued in 2017) and several albums on Argentina's EMI label. This album is a compilation of their unreleased material recorded between 1969 and 1975, but never released until now.The album is full of lo-fi DIY sounds that seem to be somehow linked to current indie music. Reissued on Spain's OUT-SIDER label, which has made a name for itself through the discovery of Kristalogar. Includes 3 bonus tracks that were not included in the analog release. Includes Japanese translation of the commentary by Argentinean digger Eduardo Bubbling Mines, a leading figure in the South American obscure music scene.
