Brian Braid is a jazz dramatist from Louisiana, U.S.A., born in 1970, who at age 18 studied music in earnest at Loyola University in New Orleans, where he studied with John Cowherd (piano), Jeff Parker (guitar), Christopher Thomas (bass), In 1997, he formed the Fellowship Band with Myron Walden and Melvin Butler on saxophone. In 1998, they released \"Brian Blade Fellowship\" on Blue Note. After that, Kurt Rosenwinkel replaced him on guitar and released \"Perceptual (00)\".The band released \"Season of Changes (08)\" on Verve, which was highly acclaimed. The band also released \"Randmarks (14)\", \"Body And Shadow (17)\", and a live album in 2010. In 2011, he released his first album \"LIFECYCLES Vol 1 \u0026amp; 2\" as Lifecycles, a side project of Fellowship.
