Since then, he has been combining shakuhachi and live electronics in his compositions and performances, drawing inspiration from Buddhist thought and experience as well as the world of Zen. All of his works are semi-structured improvisations, in which he attempts to perform shakuhachi + live electronics simultaneously (shakuhachi sound processed electronically in real time).
