Izoard was also particular about the order of the pieces, rearranging the order of the pieces while taking into consideration the structure of the fugues. The result is a cohesive masterpiece that re-presents the \"Technique of Fugue\" as one cohesive piece with a great flow. André Izoard was born in France. He studied organ under Edouard Souberbiel and piano under Germaine Meunier at the Cesar Franck School of Music, and won the first prize at the St. Albans International Organ Competition (England) in 1965 and the Haarlem International Organ Competition in 1966, 1967, and 1968. In 1966, 1967, and 1968, he won the first prize at the Haarlem International Organ Competition (Holland). He has made about 60 recordings and won the Presidential Prize of the French Republic. He is the honorary organist of Saint-Germain-des-Prés Church in Paris. Izoard's excellent playing is supported by his deep knowledge of organ building, and he always shows great taste not only in his playing technique but also in his stop maneuvers. The catalog is also written in Japanese, as the label is very conscious of the Japanese market and has printed the booklet in Japanese in advance.(However, there is no Japanese in this CD booklet.)
