Ruslan Sirota

Description:

In his mid-twenties, in 2004, he officially joined the Stanley Clarke Band. Ruslan Sirota, who has played in the WCGD area with Kamasi Washington and the Larry Carlton Band...one of the most popular bands of our time, was born in 1980 in Ukraine, and in 2004, in his mid-20s, he officially joined the Stanley Clarke Band, for which he also contributed songs. In 2004, when he was in his mid-20s, he officially joined the Stanley Clarke Band, and won the 53rd Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album for "The Stanley ClarkeBand featuring Hiromi," for which he also contributed a song. In addition to being a member of the West Coast Get Down in the Kamasi Washington neighborhood of his generation, Ruslan Sirota has recently joined Larry Carlton's band as a member of his new album. His success as a member of a popular band that is the envy of all is a testament to his ability and taste. When Ruslan himself visited Japan, he said, "I travel every day to play in some band," and it is no exaggeration to say that he is now one of the busiest keyboard players of our time. This is his second album, following his first released in 2011. After emigrating from Ukraine to Israel due to social conditions such as the effects of Chernobyl and economic problems in his country, he studied in Boston/Berklee and then moved to the West Coast. This remarkable work features many artists who have made the West Coast their main base of operations and are active in the crossover field. Influenced by film music, Ruslan has an endless passion for jazz, and this album is a weaving of these two elements. From the opening of the album, with its light rhythms, effective syncopation, and beautiful touch, the worldview of the band is reminiscent of Dave Grusin and his like, and one can sense his talent as a composer. On the other hand, there are songs with a Michael Franks-like AOR feel, scenes that weave in Latin beats, and crossover/progressive sounds reminiscent of the Return to Forever area. However, each song evokes a visual, and the music shows its creator's sense of style. We look forward to hearing more from him, not only as a pianist/keyboard player, but also as a composer/arranger. The result is a pop crossover sound.
