Singer/songwriter Laura Nyro, who has been respected by many artists, is now revealing for the first time the rare audio tape of her audition performance in 1966, before her debut at the age of only 18! This won her a contract and she made her debut the following year in 1967 with the classic album "More Than A New Discovery". Her original songs such as "And When I Die," a classic later covered by PP&M and BS&T, as well as Dusty Springfield, jazz, and soul covers, are all performed by her first-time singing voice.
