When it comes to Jochum’s Symphony No. 8, I’ve always felt—in my personal opinion—that rather than being a weighty performance, it tends to have a somewhat brisk tempo and, perhaps because it feels rather light for a No. 8, I’ve often wished I could linger a bit longer in the acoustics of that particular venue. However, this performance—true to its reputation as a legendary masterpiece—is so well-balanced that it’s no exaggeration to say it fulfills all the essential elements of Bruckner. Like the 1986 recording of the Seventh, though in a different sense, this undoubtedly ranks among the very best Bruckner performances in Japan.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Altus","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53595619623201,"sku":"4543638000227","price":104.0,"currency_code":"AED","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4543638000227.jpg?v=1790481960","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-ae\/products\/4543638000227","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
