All three highlight recordings of Tchaikovsky's ballets recorded by Regner from '80 to the following year are collected in this 2-disc set. The world's first SACD release! Mastered only in the analog domain and converted directly to DSD! The latest reissue of ETERNA's original analog tapes in Japan, and the 21st SACD hybridization project, all three of Heinz Regner's \"Highlights of the Three Ballets of Tchaikovsky,\" known as hidden masterpieces, are collected in a single set of two discs. Each was originally planned as a 50-minute excerpt, not a complete performance, and was released separately in November 1980, followed by \"The Nutcracker\" in August and November of the following year, and \"Swan Lake\" in November of the same year. The mellow sound of the Deutsche Schallplatten at the end of the analog recording period and the large scale of Regner's expression made this recording popular in some quarters as a masterpiece ballet music to be heard symphonically. Although there was also a domestic CD release of the three major ballets with further excerpts, this time the music has been reissued in the order of the work numbers, in order to reissue the original selection as intended. The track layout of the CDs is the same as that of the LPs (different from the CDs previously released on the market). The performances are performed in a way that allows the listener to appreciate the music itself, and the sound quality is solid, with a grandeur that is similar to listening to a symphony.The expression, which seems to evoke individual dramas, is reminiscent of Regner's long experience in opera and the history of Romantic music performance. It is interesting to note that the earnestness of the performance, which was only possible in the former East German period, is exaggerated in the ballet music, as if to create a kind of immersive sensation. It is no wonder that this unique performance has a reputation as a hidden masterpiece. This latest reissue from the original analog master tapes in the original country allows you to enjoy the full orchestral sound in high sound quality. For this reissue, the master tapes were flown from the label to the studio of Vienna-based mastering engineer Christoph Stickel, where they were mastered in the analog domain, and then digitized separately into DSD for the SACD layer and PCM for the CD layer. The project was then digitized into a product. This project realized the ideal method of mastering as far as currently conceivable. The effect is remarkable: it is now possible to reproduce the quality left on the master tapes with extreme fidelity, and the mastering and direct DSD conversion in the analog domain only has even greater sonic benefits. The result is a clearer, higher-resolution recording that is sure to bring about a further appreciation of the performance. The manual also includes a photograph of the outer box of the original analog master tape used in this project.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Berlin Classics × TOWER RECORDS","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":45467041202465,"sku":"885470020594","price":37.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/products\/885470020594.jpg?v=1686981800","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/de-de\/products\/885470020594","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
