This remarkable album will be released before the 100th anniversary of Hinastera's birth next year (2026).\n\n\n\nThe group was formed in 1995 by four students of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. In April of the following year, the quartet won the first prize at the 50th Coleman Chamber Music Competition, as well as the first prize and the grand prize at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, and was noted as a quartet of young talent from its inception. After the departure of founding member Tomoko Sandy Yamamoto, the quartet was joined by William Fedkenheuer, and has remained with the same members ever since. The quartet will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year (2025).\n\n\n\nAfter studying at the National Conservatory of Music in Buenos Aires, Hinastera went to the United States to study. He began to show nationalism while changing his style from period to period, and gained a firm position as a composer.Hinastera, with his vivid contrasts and deep, emotional melodies, has infused his music with the spirit of Argentina's folk traditions, bold modernism, and a profound sense of expression.\n\n\n\nDuring his lifetime, Hinastera composed three quartets, but at different times. The first two quartets are considered to be hidden masterpieces and are often performed in concert, but there have been few recordings of the complete works, including No. 3, which also features a soprano. The lively rhythms, energy, and folkloric colors of No. 1, the introspective lyricism of No. 2, and the stirring intensity of No. 3 with soprano, with texts by Jimenez, Lorca, and Alberti, reflect Hinastera's unique style.\n\nPENTATONE.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Pentatone Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51435795480865,"sku":"8717306264129","price":22.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/8717306264129.jpg?v=1751292664","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/de-de\/products\/8717306264129","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
