Four years after their breakthrough with their last album, they settled down and wrote their fourth album, "Belaya Polosa," in their new home, Los Angeles, and released it on Sacred Bones.

Molchat Doma will release their fourth studio album, Belaya Polosa, on Sacred Bones. The Belarusian post-punk/synth-pop group has always exuded an architectural brutalist aesthetic that adorns their album artwork. It's cold, gray, imposing, and industrial, but within the foundation beats the human heart, and after a breakthrough in 2020, the trio went from the rock bottom of uprooted lives and forced emigration from their native Minsk, to headlining massive shows around the world They experienced both extremes, all the way to the top. It was against this backdrop that the band settled down in their new home, Los Angeles, and wrote their fourth album, "Belaya Polosa". In the four years since their last album, "Monument," there have been significant changes in the lives of vocalist Egor Shkutko, bassist/synthist Pavel Kozlov, and primary songwriter/producer/arranger Raman Kamahortsau, so it was inevitable that their music would undergo a transformation. It was inevitable that their music would undergo a metamorphosis. The whole album is a prism through which we tried to reflect what happened to us," the band says of the new album. The cold minimalist sound is still intact, but the album is pushing in a new direction. The basement grime and dirty tapehead sounds of previous albums now make room for digital gloss and production values. 'We're a different band. Different sound, different context. But it's the same style, the same emotion," the band responds when asked about the advanced arrangements and tones of Belaya Polosa.

Tracklisting:

1.
