Commissioned by the choir Schola Polifonica of the Cathedral of the Famous Monde Bellico in Vicenza, it was composed to keep alive among us today the memory of those who gave their precious lives on the battlefield during the First World War (1914-1918). For this work, Dohnes and Taralli met and discussed for months, sharing not only skills and ideas, but also musical aesthetics and ethics, to produce a work so precise and coherent that it seems as if it was written by one person.
