Guitarist Marcos Mena, who specializes in cross-handed tapping, creates instrumental mass rock guided by refreshing melodies. The band's debut full-length, "Fruit Island," is an unrelentingly challenging take on mass rock. Forest Rice's brash drumming complements Mena's unpredictable melodies and builds on a foundation of distinctively self-absorbed riffs, balancing bright tunes with tasteful fills and perfect syncopation. The band's music is a masterpiece of the genre. The lead single, "Special Berry," is a blend of simplicity and complexity, with nimble fingering and agile drumming.
