It is \"a requiem for those we have lost in this crisis, for our disconnected past, and for a future we do not yet know how to connect, a requiem for human contact, solidarity, and human voice that has become dangerous and contagious.\" It is also a reflection on environmental collapse and the increase in natural disasters.The text of the Dream Requiem is an interweaving of the words of Verdi's Latin Mass for the Dead and the apocalyptic poem \"Darkness\" written by George Gordon Byron (Lord Byron 1788-1824), inspired by the summerless year of 1815, when Mount Tambora erupted. The poem is interwoven with the apocalyptic poem \"Darkness.\n\n\n\nNarrated by Meryl Streep, a living legend of American cinema who has been nominated for 21 Academy Awards, won three Oscars, and is widely regarded as the greatest living actress. Anna Prohaska, an accomplished coloratura soprano who has performed a wide range of music from baroque to contemporary music since her youth, provides the soloist.\n\n\n\n(Warner Music)\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Warner Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50671464939809,"sku":"5021732500601","price":16.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/5021732500601.jpg?v=1733756205","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/de-de\/products\/5021732500601","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
