One of the few German rock bands to have achieved worldwide success, the Scorpions have also gained a strong following in Japan. In 1973, Michael Schenker left the band to join UFO and the band disbanded, but was revived when Uli Jon Roth, a friend of Rudolf Schenker, joined the band. In 1974, the band was signed by RCA Records and released the album \"Fly To The Rainbow\". The band's activities stabilized, and after a European tour, they began work on a new album, \"In Trance\", which was released in 1975. The band toured Europe again and gained recognition. During this tour, the band's concert in Essen, Germany on April 26th of the same year was recorded and broadcast for radio promotion. This is a live album using the recordings from this broadcast and captures the entire concert, including cover songs. Uli Jon Roth's wild and hard guitar solo, which was heavily influenced by Jimi Hendrix, is in full swing, and young Klaus Meine's high tone vocals are wonderful. This is a rare archive of the Scorpions' early live performances.
