Originally, Peter Frampton was in the process of forming a band with Greg Ridley (b), formerly of the Spooky Tooth, and Jerry Shirley (ds), who was only 17 years old, when Marriott joined them and they started their activities as Humble Pie. The band signed with Immediate Records and released their debut album \"As Safe As Yesterday Is\" in July 1969, which produced a single hit. In December of the same year, the band released their second album, \"Town And Country,\" but due to the bankruptcy of Immediate, the band suddenly lost their contract... In April 1970, the band released their first album, \"Humble Pie\".With the release of the new album, the band tours the U.K. and Europe. On September 9 of the same year, the band performed a live studio show in London for a BBC radio program, which was recorded and broadcast. This album is a live album using the music from this broadcast, and includes all of the performance, especially the new songs.\n\n\n\nThe sound of Steve Marriott and Peter Frampton, two guitarists with different personalities, creates a new Humble Pie sound.
