Although his feature-length documentary *The Tower of the Sun* was released around the same time, the visual quality of this film—with its depiction of blue (skirts) and red (lights)—is equally striking. Neiko, played by Shuri, yearns for “normality,” while both she and her boyfriend Tsunagi (Masaki Suda) share an inescapable sense of self-loathing and self-love. We feel a stinging sense of recognition as we see these emotions reflected in Shuri’s deadpan expressions and Suda’s gaze. The striking blues and reds cast a faint light on the pitch-black darkness within our hearts that no one else can understand. The colors are bright. Nakazato Iyo’s intense performance is also a highlight. Don’t miss the ending by Yuko Sebu, “1\/5000.” intoxicate (C) Asuka Wakikawa\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Happinet","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52560106422561,"sku":"4907953213159","price":28.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4907953213159.jpg?v=1775950217","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/de-de\/products\/4907953213159","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
