While a student at Tokyo University of the Arts, she won the second prize and a special prize at the Bartók International Competition in Budapest (Hungary), attracting attention both in Japan and abroad. She also won the third prize at the Schlomo Mintz International Competition, the second prize and audience prize at the Tokyo Music Competition, the third prize and the E. Nakamichi Prize at the Japan Music Competition, and many others.
