A journey of \"rediscovery\" presented by a rising star of the countertenor world.\n\nHugh Cutting is the first countertenor to be selected for both the 2021 Kathleen Ferrier Award and the 2022-25 BBC New Generation Artist Award. He has a strong record of achievement in concert and opera, including soloist in many performances of Bach's \"Matthew Passion\", including at the Collegium Vocale Ghent conducted by Herreweghe. His solo debut album is a program born from an intellectual exploration of the multiple possibilities hidden within works, reappraising them from multiple lenses through a deep musical dialogue with Audrey Hyland, his teacher at the Royal Academy of Music. The audience will enjoy a wide variety of works from Romanticism to the present day with the rich and rounded voice that only Cutting can provide. Welsh-Irish composer Pearce Conor Kennedy's Rough Rhymes was written for Cutting. The smooth and expressive tenor of \"Poison to the Doves in the Park\" is also heard, and \"Farewell,\" written by Schubert for piano and narration, is included in an English-language version.\n\nNaxos Japan","brand":"Linn Records","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51929213501729,"sku":"4589538825928","price":27.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4589538825928.jpg?v=1760870537","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/de-de\/products\/4589538825928","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
