The true meaning of Bach's music emerges through a variety of tones] Bach became familiar with the organ as a young boy, and while chewing and absorbing the language of his 17th century German predecessors, he acquired a variety of musical styles in later years and became a great master of polyphonic music. The \"Technique of Fugue,\" the culmination of Bach's compositional techniques, is a theoretical work with no musical instruments specified in the score, but it has captured the hearts of many people through performances and has been performed with a variety of instrumentation. The reason why the score was left unfinished has often been linked to the composer's death, but Bach's writing actually ceased in the fall of 1749, nine months before his death. The music published shortly after his death by his second son, C.P.E. Bach, and by the music theorist\/composer Maalpurg, differ in many respects from his autographs. Ineš Davena and Claudio Hibeiro, a keyboardist from Brazil, who are based in Dutch-speaking countries that have produced many world-renowned players of ancient instruments since the 20th century, proposed \"The Technique of Fugue,\" which is based on Bach's autograph score, including related pieces that are still extant, and recomposed in the order of Bach's works. After playing the first piece on harpsichord solo, they chose instruments based on the character of each piece, and used different instruments for each voice part to make the polyphonic intertwining clearly visible. Some of the pieces are accompanied by sub-titles in an attempt to convey the nature of the music as they read it in an easy-to-understand manner. The rich sound of each instrument, coupled with the surprisingly intimate nature of this difficult collection of music, makes this recording a delight to listen to. Rainer Arndt, a gifted engineer with a career as a baroque violinist himself, has done a fine job of engineering this recording to convey the virtuosity of each virtuoso's playing.
