His name came to prominence in 1966 with the discovery in Geneva of a manuscript entitled \"Concerts a deux violes esgales\" (A Collection of Concerts for Two Equal Viols). This collection of 67 pieces, each suite with its own title, was probably written for a gathering of music lovers and intellectuals of the time, and is a difficult piece to play, requiring a very high level of technique. Nevertheless, the duets with the lustrous tone that only the viol can produce are very attractive.
