Here comes the popular piece No. 4, nicknamed \"Romantic\". The score featured here is the second draft (the so-called 1878\/80 manuscript), the most common score used for No. 4, and is the Benjamin Korstvedt revision (Korstvedt NBG III\/1: 4\/2, published in 2019), which is published in the New Bruckner Complete Works. There is also an additional movement called \"Folk Festival Volksfest,\" the finale of Bruckner's completion of the second draft in 1878, and the CD's program function allows the listener to hear the first appearance of the second draft. Poschner again keeps the tempo tight (the performance time of each movement is almost the same, with the first movement a minute slower than in the Wandt\/Berlin Philharmonic recording), but the music is more dramatic, with a greater range of slow and fast movements and intensity. The performance time of the \"People's Festival\" is much faster than the 17:57 of the Frusha disc, and it would be interesting to compare the two recordings. The recording time of this CD is 83 minutes and 16 seconds, which is a long time, so some players may not be able to play it properly. Please note that some players may not be able to play it properly. The Vienna-based label Capriccio, under the supervision of Paul Hawkshaw of the Yale School of Music and a leading Bruckner scholar, will record all the manuscripts of Bruckner's symphonies by 2024, the bicentennial of his birth. The project is to record all Bruckner symphonies by 2024, the bicentennial of his birth. The scores of the New Bruckner cycle (NBG), which is currently being published, will be used for a number of the pieces. Markus Poschner will be the conductor for the entire cycle, and the orchestra will be led by Poschner's own Linz Bruckner Orchestra with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. The first draft of No. 3 (1873, Novak edition) will be released in the fall of 2010, and the first draft of No. 8 (1887, new complete edition revised by Hawkshaw) will be released by the end of the year, making this a series that Bruckner fans cannot take their eyes and ears off.
