The long-awaited debut album by Sara Aristidou, the amazing soprano who is currently taking Europe by storm! Born on the island of Cyprus, Sara Aristidou now performs mainly in France. She has already earned the trust of many of her contemporaries and is now sought after by halls and opera houses throughout Europe. In 2019, she will premiere Wittmann's "Labyrinth IV" with the Boulez Ensemble conducted by Barenboim. Wittmann went on to compose "Labyrinth V" for her, which is unveiled on this album. In 2020, Wittmann will perform "Eumenides" by Athenian-born composer Irini Amalgianaki at the Pierre Boulez Saal with Barenboim and Payu, who are also guests on this album, to great acclaim.This is her first album, and you can enjoy her abilities in a wide range of works from baroque to the latest, with the seemingly inconsistent selection of music connected by images based on her strong feelings for Iceland, the country she says she loves the most. The Orkestar des Wandels (Orchestra for Change), which performs with her, is made up of artists from all over Germany, and is an orchestra that is not only highly skilled in performance, but also speaks out on environmental issues.
