The "Complete Works of Brahms Chamber Music" was initiated by Eric Le Sage. Included in the eighth collection are three piano trios: No. 1, first drafted in 1854 and revised in 1890-91; No. 2, composed in 1880 during the mature period; and No. 3, completed six years later. Le Sage, Salk, and Huchenouré give a dense ensemble performance that makes full use of the singing and lyricism that are characteristic of Brahms' works.
