This is a piece that explores the novel sounds that can be created from piano and saxophone, and explores various methods of expression. Toldos and Könken perform Hindemith's sonatas, which are in the saxophone's original repertoire, as well as works by Dezancro, Schumann's "Romance" and Franck's sonatas, which were originally written for other instruments and may be difficult to perform on the saxophone.
