Vivaldi by an irregular old instrument ensemble! Formed in 2012 by brothers Francesco and Stefano Cerrato, "Armoniosa" consists of violin, 5-string cello piccolo, cello, organ, and cembalo. They have released three albums so far, a collection of concertos by Corelli, a trio sonata by Platti, and a cello sonata by Graziani, and the first release on their new label, REDDRESS, is an ambitious work, the complete "Inspiration of Harmony". Barchi, who is in charge of harpsichord, has made a special arrangement for this orchestra based on the arrangements for keyboard made by Bach and other masters of Vivaldi's time. The lively music of the small ensemble and the thick mid-bass create a sound that is more expansive than that of the orchestra, making this a very attractive and enjoyable performance. The recording and editing were done using the Advanced Multitrack Process (AMP). Each process has been reviewed to achieve a clear and realistic sound and to reproduce the depth of the music in a natural way. Naxos Japan
