The following year, in 1994, this album, *Amplified Heart*, was released, depicting the hardships and disappointments of his hospital stay. Characterized by sparkling folk-electronica, it features guest appearances by folk-rock veterans such as Danny Thompson.\n\nMoving away from the lavish sound of the previous album, it presents a simple yet effective soundscape. This is the first time in Japan that a collection of B-sides and eight live tracks have been released.
