The fourth album by Tetsuji Honna and Nipponica is the opera \"Hiroshima no Orfe,\" composed by Yasunobu Akutagawa and written by Kenzaburo Oe, two of the greatest composers of music and literature. The opera is a troubled work about a young man suffering from visions of the atomic bombing. The piece won first prize at the Salzburg Opera Competition in 1968. The sound source for this album is a live recording, performed in concert format. The Orchestra Nipponica, whose name is derived from the Japanese composer Yasunobu Akutagawa, performs the piece with great passion and passion, and the result is a performance that drives home the spirituality and musicality of the piece. It is precisely because 66 years have passed since World War II and the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred that we are forced to reconsider the content of this work. Also included on the coupling is \"Tsuki\" based on the Taketori Monogatari (The Tale of the Moon). The piece seems to conjure up beautiful scenes, and shows the ambitious musical composition of Yasunobu Akutagawa.
