This is the second volume of Lyapunov's piano works performed by Florian Noack, a gifted pianist born in Brussels, Belgium in 1990. Noack studied at the age of 12 at the Special Course (also known as the "Prodigy Course") at the Queen Elisabeth Academy of Music in Belgium, and was highly praised by Brigitte Engelaar for his talent. He studied under Vasily Lobanov at the Cologne University of Music, and Russian music is an important part of his repertoire. Whether as a craftsman of small pieces, a master of large-scale works, an independent European, or the most authentic Russian composer, Lyapunov's music is impressive for its bold and virtuosic style, yet it has not been performed often.
