Having previously recorded guitar arrangements of Bach’s works for various instruments—including lute, violin, flute, and keyboard—Hoppstock has finally recorded the Unaccompanied Cello Suites! The album features Cello Suites Nos. 1, 2, and 5, along with a piece combining a fantasia by the Italian Renaissance lutenist Francesco da Milano with a Bach chorale. The brilliant arrangement of the bonus track, “Air on the G String,” is also a highlight. Hopsstock, who earned his doctorate with a dissertation titled “Polyphony in Bach’s Lute Works,” performs Bach’s unaccompanied cello suites. This album is highly recommended not only for guitar enthusiasts but also for all Bach fans and fans of musical arrangements.\nTokyo M Plus\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Christophorus","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53595673690401,"sku":"4010072774224","price":31.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4010072774224.jpg?v=1790482236","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/de-de\/products\/4010072774224","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
