He began playing the piano at the age of five. He honed his skills under renowned teachers at the Paris Conservatoire and the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and has a distinguished competition record, including winning the Alain Marinaro International Competition. He has performed at numerous music festivals and is also dedicated to chamber music ensembles. He has performed not only throughout Europe but also in Morocco, New Caledonia, China, and Japan.
Duenn’s latest album presents a program that poetically and evocatively transports us into the world of Gabriel Fauré. In Duenn’s performance, one can vividly sense the breath and presence of each of his contemporaries—composers who passed through the Paris Conservatory. Her clean and elegant touch is also a major attraction. This album is a beautiful collection of musical works that serves as both a tribute to the French master Fauré and to the pianists who knew and revered him, as well as a hymn to the "tradition" they upheld.

Words from Duenn (from the booklet)
~In 1896, Gabriel Fauré was appointed professor of composition at the Paris Conservatory, and from 1905 to 1920, he served as its director. During this era, France was experiencing a dazzling artistic renaissance across all fields. Just as Baudelaire marveled that “scents, colors, and sounds resonate with one another,” music too achieved remarkable development, brimming with unprecedented vitality centered around the unparalleled geniuses Debussy and Ravel. In the shadow of this dazzling success, many distinctive composers lost their presence, but it is the duty of performers to pass on their beauty to future generations. Beside Ravel, that “great light,” composers who were mentored by Fauré and built their own exceptionally rich poetic worlds are arrayed like a constellation. I wanted to share the joy of discovering them through this recording. The year 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of Fauré’s passing, and his achievements as an outstanding composer have been widely celebrated. This album pays tribute to his “innate talent as a teacher.” As the saying goes, “A tree is known by its fruit”; surely the ultimate task of a true educator is to enable their students to bring their individuality to full bloom. ~
MIRARE

Tracklisting:

1.
