Gouin's Bizet with outstanding technique and rich singing Nathanaël Gouin, a rising star pianist born in Paris in 1988. Her Liszt disc (MIR-354) attracted much attention with its program of astonishing technique and intelligence, and now she appears on this solo album with Bizet. Bizet was so skilled on the piano that he was even recognized by Liszt. Each piece has its own title, and Bizet's works have beautiful melodies and gorgeous passages that remind us of his own skill on the piano. This album includes works by Bizet, arrangements of Bizet's works by other composers or by Gouin himself, and Saint-Saens' Piano Concerto No. 2, which Bizet also arranged for solo piano with superb virtuosity. Gouin's performance is a masterpiece, bringing out Bizet's natural gift for melody and virtuoso performance to the fullest. Gouin is a sought-after soloist and chamber musician. He began studying music at the age of four and has won the Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria and the Swedish International Duo Competition.In 2015, she was selected for Piris' Partitura Project and has performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 in Japan, as well as a series of concerts with Piris.
