Florian Kristol has traveled with various guest artists to places such as Vienna, Budapest, and the Danube Delta to incorporate local musical elements into his compositions. The traditional Bavarian folk ensemble \"Sieger Seitenmusik,\" accordionist Vladislav Kojokar, violinist Christina Shklar, cellists Rafaela Gromes and Arik Lysyuk, and former members of Ukraine's Odessa Opera Theater Members of the string ensemble and soloists include.As a child, Florian Kristol marveled at how the waters of a stream in his hometown of Amberg, Bavaria, flowed past a dam and eventually reached the distant sea. This little river became the Danube, Europe's second-longest river, reaching as far east as the Ukrainian port city of Odessa nearby, where it empties into the Black Sea. The Danube is 2,857 kilometers long and flows from its source in Germany's Black Forest to the sea, passing through half of Europe and connecting cultural centers such as Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, and the Bucharest metropolitan area. The river has served as a major transportation route and has facilitated the development and exchange of Europe's common cultural heritage, especially classical music. When war broke out in Ukraine, Florian Kristol recalled his childhood wonder that the small river in his hometown was connected to Ukraine. Inspired by Smetana's \"Moldau\" and the \"motto music\" of the Romantics, who made music about nature, he came up with the idea of composing a concept album about the \"Danube\" river.With this vision in mind, he began an in-depth study of the Danube River and the cities, regions, and diverse natural landscapes it connects. His journey along the river led him to the Danube Delta, where he saw the border between the peaceful banks of Romania and the wartime banks of Ukraine.
