A student of Neigaus at the Prague Conservatory, he studied with Valentina Kameniková and later with Ivan Moravets. Today, the world-renowned Simon recorded this collection of Chopin concertos at the young age of 21 with the Prague Philharmonia, the soon-to-be-founded arm of another Czech maestro, Bělohlávek. This is probably due to the fact that Simon's age at the time of recording coincided with Chopin's creative period.
