This is the very first album to bring together in this way a collection of very moving musical works that shed light on various scenes of war and peace in a concert dedicated to the idea of peace. With Franz Welser-Möst conducting and a star-studded lineup of artists including, among others, the extraordinary pianist Yuja Wang, it will be interesting to see how the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra tackles this highly anticipated concert celebrating the end of World War I. One hundred years after the first destructive human tragedy of the 20th century, which officially ended in Versailles, thoughtful musicians gathered at this historic site for a concert that will live on in the memories of those who saw and heard it.
