It features songs from Purcell's songs, odes, and plays, as well as works by contemporary composers Blow, Humphrey, and Webb. Although these works are relatively rarely recorded, they all possess the restrained beauty and deep emotion of old English music, and Tim Meade's beautiful voice and superb singing technique convey the charm of these songs to the fullest. Tim Mead's beautiful voice and excellent singing technique conveyed the charm of these songs to the fullest. The instrumental music by the British period instrument virtuosos led by Bates also supported the singing with careful expression. You are guaranteed to listen to the music.
